PREPARING FOR THE SESSION
  • Elias Photography uses all natural light and sessions are an adventure! We will be sitting, standing, climbing, lying down and sometimes even jumping during your photo shoots . We may walk through a river or climb a tree. During the session, I will “direct” you, but I will be constantly snapping photos even when you aren’t looking directly at the camera so, while there will be some traditional or "posed" shots, the majority of your photos will, hopefully, be candid.
  • There is no time limit on your session. I take the time that we need in order to capture the images that you want, but sessions typically last between 1 and 2 hours.
  • I do not have a "set" or "formula" of shots that I take with each type of session. Your photos will be customized for your needs and your style. I am always up for trying something new and I more than welcome your suggestions for shots that you might want to try.
LOCATION
  • Elias Photography does not shoot weddings or other events.
  • Most photography sessions take place outdoors but, if discussed with the photographer beforehand, indoor sessions will be considered.
  • The photographer will suggest locations or we can shoot at the location of your choice.
  • If we will be shooting at the location of your choice, you must set up a location consultation with the photographer, at your desired location, before the day of the shoot. Photos turn out much better if the photographer is familiar with the location and lighting prior to the shoot.
  • Elias Photography shoots exclusively in the Boone / Blowing Rock area of North Carolina. If you would like for your session to take place outside of this local area, please e-mail Elias Photography for availabilty and additional fees.
