She laughed loudly and unrestrained, perhaps possesed by the newness of it all.
She wondered what the journey ahead would bring and she wondered what her new life would mean in the grand scheme of it all. The corners of her mouth turned up slightly as a tear rolled down her cheek, carrying with it every emotion that her heart had ever held. She didn't know what this new life would look like, but she knew life would never be the same...
and she loved it!

“Any emotion, if it is sincere, is involuntary” - Mark Twain

I don't just take pictures. I capture emotions. It is as important for me to create a reminder of how you or your loved ones feel during this time as it is for me to capture how you look. My photos are often times gritty and organic, with a touch of whimsy. I don't ever want someone to just "say cheese". I will position my subjects during the session, but I don’t always wait for everyone to be “just so” before I snap the shot. The best moments are the ones in between that interpret the real movement of who you are. Please look through my galleries before you hire me. I may not be the right photographer for you, but If the moments I have captured in other people's lives captivate your heart, then maybe I'm the artist for the job.

A little about who I am...
I live in the mountains of North Carolina with my husband, Santiago and my daughter, Isabella. Whether I am riding horses, rock climbing, hiking, trail running or playing soccer in the rain, I love being outside. The earthy grit that makes my life great is what makes my photos great, so if you're up for adventure, and if you love my non-traditional style, I'd love to work with you.
